About 45 minutes ago I saw the dshort.com screen change to this scary billboard:
The service provider responded quickly to my frantic phone call, although the problem would have been avoided if they had sent me a warning that I was approaching my allotted bandwidth. The problem is now solved (which of course means a conspicuous line item in my Quicken account). But I think the real lesson of this episode is an epiphany of self-discovery:
