After posting my whimsical snapshot of the NYSE Composite, Chris Kimble sent me this longer timeline of the Wilshire 5000, which also appears to have a head-and-shoulders pattern in the making. As he points out, this pattern is cropping up in many indexes. Is it too common to be real or a real warning?
