Yesterday I updated my long-term view of Dow Recoveries. This morning Technical Analyst Chris Kimble gives us another long-term perspective — a fresh look at the rising channel in the Dow that dates from the Great Depression.
Chris comments: I attempt to share investment perspectives for two groups of people: Long-term investors (those looking to make adjustments once a month or even less frequently) and shorter-term investors (those looking to catch moves that last a week to a month).
The chart above is mostly geared for longer-term investors, yet it should add an element of perspective for the shorter-term crowd as well.
